High School Boys - What You Get

  • 3 tournaments (tournaments are additional cost listed below)
    • Blue Teams– LI Laxfest ($75), Mid-Summer Classic at UMass ($75), FLG in 3D ($250)
    • Green Teams– LI Laxfest ($75), Bulldog Bash ($75), one more TBD ($75)
  • Uniforms: Helmet, practice jersey, game jersey, shooting shirt, shorts
  • Extensive recruiting guidance– We have spent over a decade developing great relationships with a number of top programs throughout the country that love recruiting HGR players and trust our player development and evaluations.
  • 1 week of training camp (2 days outdoor, and 2 days indoor)
  • 2 Practices a week
    • 1 outdoor practice a week where we will review team concepts, team offense, team defense, rides and clears.
    • 1 indoor practice a week where we will utilize film, chalk talk, walk throughs, and develop individual skill sets.
  • Professional filming at 2 tournaments. HGR will hire professional film companies like First Scout and Next Level Video to film all of our teams and all of their games at 2 of the 3 tournaments we will be attending. That film will be given to the players and families to use as they please but will greatly aid in the creation of player highlight tapes for recruiting purposes.
  • Player Development Clinics: We will cover specific topics like defending the two man game defensively or getting to the island and being successful with re-dodges for offensive players. The clinic concept will change week to week. These clinics are offered to elite team members exclusively during summer months at an additional cost.
  • Weekday open field (shoot around time): Players will be able to come in and shoot buckets of balls, condition, work on what they were taught in their small group lessons or just have a pass with their buddies on the team.

Who's Coaching HGR Youth Teams?

Our staff is comprised of head and assistant college coaches of nationally ranked programs, several head high school coaches, current and former professional players as well as former and current college All-Americans.

  • Bryan Brazill- Owner/Founder of HGR Lacrosse and Offensive Coordinator of Merrimack College. Drafted as a midfielder for the Boston Cannons in 2009.
  • Peter Smyth- Vice President of HGR Lacrosse and Head Coach of Austin Prep High School.
  • Grant Whiteway- Founder of Raptors Lacrosse, Hall of Fame coach
  • Bryan Pollack- HGR Director of Player Development and Defensive Coordinator of Merrimack College
  • Ken Blaszka- Head Coach of Timberlane High School
  • Dan O’Brien- Head Coach of Burlington High School

Practice Schedule

  • Outdoor practices will be held at Austin Prep
  • Indoor practices will be held at Home Grown Indoor Sports
